Hey everyone,

I’ve been back from my trip to Japan for just over a week now. It was a really awesome trip, I got to catch up with Pat and Bryan from Fort McMurray and really see Tokyo first hand. We covered much of Tokyo, went to Kamakura, Mt. Fuji, Hakone and Kyoto, and have taken tons of photos.

Unfortunately on the return trip home my laptop was dropped from the inspection table at the airport, cracking the screen. I’ve been working on insurance claims and getting quotes on repairs. It’s going slowly, but it’s really impacted me getting caught up on this journal!

Next on the list is a trip to India and KL. I’m also working on getting a VISA for that, so fingers crossed it’ll get here in time!

I’ll keep working on getting the journal up to date!

Sorry for the huge gap in updates everyone…I’m back in Cairns after a month and a half of travel. After the wedding Bonnie and I traveled through Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. I met up with my distant family, and went on tour through Uluru and Kings Canyon up to Alice Springs, and from there to Darwin. I’m going to do my best to bring this journal up to date, as in two weeks time I’ll be hitting the road again, this time to Japan! So bare with me, as I run you all through the past two months.

On the Monday following ANZAC Day I went on my first tour: Waterfall, Rainforest & Paronella Park”> We headed up the scenic Gillies Range first thing in the morning on our way to Lake Barrine. It’s known for the graffiti rock art frogs, the yellow pokadot bikini tree and the 205 turns within 20 KM. Unfortunately with so many turns it was a bit difficult to get any clear shots of the area. We arrived at Lake Barrine, which has formed in the crater of an ancient volcano. There was a small teahouse which served Devonshire Tea (Tea, scones with jam and cream) and housed a small museum. After taking some time to take a look around, we headed off to take a cruise on the lake. <a href= )

Trying this again!

Yes, I know, I'm running behind on the posts. Sadly Facebook is being kept...mostly...up to date. If you call bulk uploading photos up to date.

Give this a try! )
